share your spark fridays ...
Happy Friday, everyone! And welcome to a special "share your spark Fridays!" Why special? Because it's also an A Muse sneak peek!
Yesterday I shared a card where I'd stamped flower images, cut them out, and raised the images using dimensional adhesive to add a "popped up" element. And that's this week's spark!
Make a card with a raised, dimensional element!
I cut out and "popped up" the lighthouse on my card! I can't wait to see what you guys make this week!
Have you spotted the sneak peek yet? It's in the midst of some of my favorite older A Muse wood mounted images! That's right! The circle of dots! It's from a new A Muse clear set called Circle Frames!
It's one of those sets I mentioned yesterday that will be great for stampers and scrappers alike. This one has lots of pretty circle designs in different sizes, not to mention a few other little goodies to boot! I have some scrappy samples using some of these new hybrid (great for cards AND scrapping) sets to share in the next few days too ... so watch for those!
I really like this technique. I think on a card like yesterday's, it adds a lot of depth, texture, and interest to a very simple one-layer card. And on a card with a bit more going on, like today's, it adds another, even more interesting layer ... really making the focal image stand out from the card (which is much more apparent in person). *smile*
I colored the lighthouse with Copics and stamped the waves in Cat's Eye Chalk Ink. Then I used a Sakura Quickie glue pen to trace the waves and add a little super fine glitter. (Added a bit to the "light" portion of the lighthouse too.) The ribbon is black A Muse grosgrain stitch.
The lighthouse stamp was also one of the "stamps of the week" on the A Muse Addicts forum!
So ... now it's your turn! Don't forget to share your spark by leaving a link to your creations in a comment!
Notecard, images, ribbon; A muse. Ink; Palette Hybrid Ink in black, Cat's Eye Chalk Ink in Blue Lagoon
ETA: Oh, Elena ... you KNOW I'm gonna' add Twinkle Stickers to that dotted cirlce at some point! *wink*

How cute,Your cards are always so crisp. This one makes me wish I was at the Outer Banks.

Lots of fun! It'd be harder for me to find one without dimensionals; I'm such a fan. Here's my most recent project, which qualifies:
