magical ...

First, I want to thank everyone who commented or emailed your opinions about sharing specifics for Copics, etc.  I'll start adding those specifics into my posts.  I'm also thinking on some new ways to present details.  We'll see what I can come up with.  In the meantime, be sure to check the bottom of the post for some basic details not found in the body of the post.

On with the post!

Yesterday, Michelle and I were talking about Paris ... and that's inspired today's card and post!  Hi Michelle!  It's me, the "bad influence!"  *wink*

A few years ago (holy crud ... years!?) I made this card pairing the starry background and Eiffel Tower stamps from A Muse.  Today I went back to that combo and revamped it!  I loved that older card when I made it ... but I think I like the new one even better!  And I think the Madeira 4-bar notecard really makes it!

The "magical" sentiment is a portion of a holiday stamp.  In it's whole form it reads: "have a magical holiday season"!  Since the words surrounding "magical" on the stamp are so wee, I masked them off with tape and then inked.  Using tape assured that the mask would stay in place over the little words while I inked.  This reminded me, once again, to think outside the box when it comes to sentiments!

What I REALLY wish you could see in the photo are the glittery stars!  (I used a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to "color" in the stars with glue, then added glitter.)  They're so pretty and sparkly!  Sometimes glitter just doesn't want to co-operate for photos.  Grr.

However, I still wanted to show you that the Tower image is cut out and popped-up ever so slightly with glue dots.  And if you look closely, you'll see I colored the tiny French Flag on top of the Tower.  This I did with Copics (B34 Manganese Blue and R29 Lipstick Red).

And since so many of you have sent such nice emails about my photos, I thought I'd share a few more today.  More scenes of Paris ...

You are SO bad ~ I love the photos!! I'll have to try to make a Paris card tonight!

Thank you so much for sharing your photos. What a great way to start my morning - Paris and my coffee! :)

I adore that card as well. Perfection!

Wonderful photos, thanks for sharing! I'll probably never make it to France, so it's nice to see things as if I were there!

Love the photos. I specially like the roses and the Tower picture at night. Thanks.

your card just squeals "Paris" in the most adorable way!

I love this card!! Eiffel tower is one of my all time favorites!
AND your pictures are gorgeous. makes me wish i was IN paris, not sitting at work!! ;)
thanks for sharing!

Sigh.. love your photos of Paris, esp. the one taken from the Trocadero ... art print!

Heather, the photos are excellent, I can dream I am there.

Heather, I love your card - new and old versions, and I especially love your photos! I am helping to plan next year's trip for the high school where I work, which is to Paris and London. I can't wait! We used to have Fauchon in NYC, it just closed a few months ago. I liked walking by on my way to Grand Central each day, and I miss it.

simply love this post ;)
