it's nearly 'howl at the moon' time ...

What the table in my craft room looked like this weekend as I tinkered with some last minute ideas before packing up to head back to NJ for classes!  My room always seems to explode leading up to classes!

We've been planning for Howl at the Moon at One Little Spark since April and it's nearly here!  Hard to believe how FAST time's flown.  And Friday's night's Twilight class is gonna' be a hoot, I'm sure.  (And I found my Team Edward shirt today!  *whew*  Bought it ages ago and thought I'd lost it in the black hole that is my closet. *laugh*)

Checking out the shop's blog today, I see that a few of the classes are nearing capacity.  So ... if you're on the fence, now's the time to sign up!

Ok, I better get back to packing since I fly out tonight!  Hope to see you in class this week!

october daily photos ...

I'm doing it again!  My yearly venture into that scary place (for me who calls herself a scrapper, but is really just a hoarder) called the "scrappy world" - in the form of an "October Daily" album!   Remember last year's?  I was really happy with it and amazed that after it went together, the actual scrapping bit was easy peasy!  So ... with another crazy busy October ahead, I'm starting again!  The book IS together, but I haven't printed photos from Day 1 & Day 2 yet, but I will!  I'll share the actual book with ya' soon too!  It's quite different than last year's all-clear one!

1 October - We bought pumpkins!  Yay!2009.10.01.003

2 October - Busy day in the craft room (but I can't share those pics just yet), so I'll share these!
6 pounds of apples for dipping in caramel and making an apple cake recipe Cheiron shared!

Where one of the pumpkins ended up - in the kitchen.

Finding homes for decorations.

Putting the book together was, again, the toughest bit for me.  But now that it's done, I'm really excited about it - just like last year!  And if you have no Earhly clue what I'm talking about, check out this post from last year too!

Tricks for Treats ...

I've been REALLY inspired by vintage Halloweenie things this year.  And glitter.  Always glitter.

Heather to self: "Hmm ... needs something."  Smoke comes out of my ears while I try to figure out what the ever-elusive "something" is.  "Glitter!"  (This scene plays out in my crafty space daily.  *laugh*)

And while the past couple of years have left me enamoured with Martha's Onyx (a beyond beautiful super sparkly black), this year I've added her Orange Topaz to the list.  Egads is it pretty!  I used it on the heart yesterday and today on the star!  (And if I can put my hands on more than I have, it MAY just end up on a few pumpkins!)

But what IS this, you ask?  It's a treat holder we'll be making in my Tricks for Treats class next Friday!

Hope you're enjoying October as much as I am so far!
