hello ...

 
Despite there being a bit of snow still hanging on around our yard, it was in the 70's yesterday!  It was sooo nice.  There were bright blue skies and big fluffy clouds - just like this paper!  (I've used it in snippets here, but you can check out more designs using it over on the A Muse Blog today)! 

A closer look at the birdie, colored with Copics and then glittered up a bit.  Everything's better when it sparkles, right?  *lol*  (Sorry, was having a Twilight moment and cracking myself up.  *wink*)  Oh yeah, and those litttle music notes are just drawn on with a fine-tip black marker.

Just a tiny little flower today.  *wink*  I love this little flower too.  It's on of those stamps that sees a lot of ink (and I think it's even cooler that it's one of Julie's designs for A Muse)!

 
A closer peek at the grass.  It's two pieces of paper, layered so the grass appears to be staggered.  I gave it just the tiniest crumple to add a little depth.  And it's all mounted on a brand new A Muse cardstock called Birch!  I love woodgrain, so you know I've been petting this stuff!  But USING it too!  *grin*

you're sweet ...

It's Woodland Critters week over on the A Muse Blog this week.  You gotta' check it out.  Today I got to share a bunch of adorable springtime cards and projects from the design team (and I know the rest of the week is JUST as inspiring, so be sure to head over there)!  This little guy was my nod to the woodland critters that crawl ...

Is he sweet or what (and glittery too, though you can't really tell in the photo since I was fighting too much light this morning)!  I'm sure had I taken the photo just a few minutes later half that leaf wouldn't been eaten, don'tcha' think?  *wink*

I think I may be developing a tiny case of spring fever 'cause I've been really into flowers lately - way more than usual.  For a while there I thought someone was gonna' have to pry A Muse's zinnias and the leaf frond from my cold dead hands 'cause I was using 'em on everything.  *laugh*  

So while I sit here watching it snow (oh yeah, I said snow - this is blizzard #2 this week), I figured if I can't have real flowers yet, this one will do just fine!

getting inky with hero arts ...

Yesterday, Lisa and I finally got the spill the beans on the A Muse + Hero Arts Designer Swap!  We've been cooking this up for a few weeks, so it's pretty fun to finally be sharing it with everyone.  Here's a look at a few of my cards shared over on the Hero Club Blog yesterday!

Soooo ... whatcha' think of my new Hero Arts apron?!  (I know, it's SO weird to see something other than A Muse, isn't it?! *chuckle*)  But all for a really fun reason - a designer swap!

happy st. patty's day ...

I got in the mood to make St. Pat's cards a month or so ago - kicking out a few quickies like this one.  Good thing too because I'm celebrating in my sweats this year, on the couch with a blanket and a few boxes of cold medicine nearby.  (Sadly, that means my classes on the East Coast for this weekend had to be resceduled.  But the upside is that they're on for April instead!)

Have some green food and drink for me!

home sweet home ...

 
I've been on the road again.  You guys know how much I love going to Seattle.  Add to that a fun new photo "toy" for my phone and I was in a little bit of heaven.  Or ... the 70's.  *laugh*  Don't these look like you pulled 'em outta' a box of photos you've had tucked under your bed since your PNW vacation in 1973?  I'm really likin' the vintage feel.

 
It looked like spring all over.  Daffodils, dogwoods, even tulips coming up!   I couldn't believe it (especially when I'm still staring at snow despite a bit of a warm-up here in Colorado).  It was SO pretty! 

 
And look at that.  Rain.  Yes, I actually saw a tiny bit of rain the last night I was there (I rarely ever see any when I'm in town.  I'm nearly convinced they make that whole rainy business up).  Love it.

Now it's onto the less fun bits of a returning from a trip - the laundry.  See ya' on the otherside!  *wink*
